The Knicks’ Game 4 party is over — now it’s back to the business at hand

News RoomBy News RoomJune 12, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

SAN ANTONIO — Fun’s over. School’s about to start again. Remember when you were a kid, when the most dreaded noise imaginable was the ticking clock of “60 Minutes,” when Pat Summerall would preview that night’s episode late in the fourth quarter of the 4 o’clock game?

Yeah. That was time running out on the weekend. Hopefully there was a good movie Friday night. Hopefully there was a huge party Saturday night. Because once the clock started to tick for “60 Minutes,” it was also ticking for you. For your weekend. Test this week? Better crack open a book now.

The clock is ticking on the Knicks’ portion of the NBA Finals again. The extra day between Game 4 and 5 meant extra time to celebrate, to commemorate, to ruminate. Maybe you still don’t have your voice back yet. Maybe you’ve watched OMG Anunoby leap tall San Antonio Spurs in a single bound 250 times. It’s been the most pleasing hangover imaginable.

And that’s done now.
