New Clues Emerge Surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Possible Madison Square Garden Wedding

News RoomBy News RoomJune 24, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Even more signs are pointing to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding possibly being held at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday, June 24, that a permit was filed with New York City to close the streets around the venue from July 2 to midday July 4 for an event on July 3, according to three people who have knowledge of the matter.

A city official who was briefed on the preparations confirmed to the outlet that MSG is planning to host the wedding on July 3. The report also claimed that Amtrak police officers, who patrol the station underneath MSG, were told to expect a wedding that weekend.

Winick Productions, which has helped produce events at MSG, also filed an application with the city’s Street Activity Permit Office earlier this month. In the request, the company asked to set up a tent or canopy outside the venue for the event — which may include 500 to 999 people — and said trucks would need space for loading and unloading.

Some of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates have also booked hotel rooms for dates around July 3 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square — just blocks from MSG — per a person told of the accommodations.

Us Weekly reached out to Swift’s rep for comment.

Ever since Swift and Kelce, both 36, announced their engagement in 2025 after two years of dating, questions have swirled about where the famous couple would decide to tie the knot. Reports initially indicated that the pop star and NFL player might exchange vows at her Rhode Island mansion, but Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse said he wasn’t sure that was the plan.

“I don’t know about that,” Whitehouse told TMZ DC this month when asked about the rumors. “I think that she gave Rhode Island a pass. But I’d hope so, I’d love to have her in Rhode Island.”

Weeks later, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani alluded to the pair’s nuptials taking place in the Big Apple while discussing the city’s involvement in the 2026 World Cup.

“I am fully confident in the work of the NYPD, as well as our state partners, in delivering that safe experience,” the mayor said during a press conference earlier this month. “We are the biggest city in the country. We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one.”

Mamdani continued, “We know it coincides with the [New York] Knicks’ [NBA] Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time — and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”

Swift and Kelce, meanwhile, have stayed quiet about their plans — as have their relatives.

“Stop f***ing asking me. Stop asking my mother-in-law,” Travis’ sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, said on an episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast in April. “Here’s the deal: Even if I did have any information, I’m not f***ing telling you. That’s private information, if I had it. Private information between family. So A and B, C your way out.”
