While Luka Dončić didn’t play in the Los Angeles lakers’ preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, that didn’t stop his fans from being active.
This was shown in the second quarter, when the game’s broadcast cameras focused in on one Lakers fan wearing a Dončić jersey dancing to “Bye Bye Bye” by NSYNC during a timeout.
After several seconds of the fan dancing (which was getting an animated reaction from other fans), the camera panned to Dončić, who looked to be watching the fan as well.
“Oh s***. He’s good!” Doncic said with a shrug after looking away from the fan.
Luka’s reaction has gone viral on social media, as fans are noting that he looks a lot more entertained by the dancing fan than by the game he was watching.
And that would be fair, given that Tuesday night’s game didn’t count and the Lakers didn’t exactly produce an entertaining on-court product in the 101-89 loss.
Dončić was held out of Tuesday’s game for rest purposes and isn’t injured. The Lakers will need to monitor his activity throughout the season, given that he’ll need to carry this year if they’re to put themselves in a position to make the playoffs.
