How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Reportedly Spend Christmas After Returning to the U.K.

News RoomBy News RoomOctober 12, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are firming up their Christmas plans following their return to the U.K.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend both Thanksgiving next month and Christmas in December with her mother, Doria Ragland, according to reports published by the U.K.’s Sunday Times newspaper and People on Sunday, October 11.

The location of the family’s holiday festivities is reportedly up to Ragland, 70, who resides in California, but People noted that the Sussexes will “likely” travel to the U.S. for the holidays with their two children.

Us understands that no firm plans have been made at this stage.

Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, are not expected to spend Christmas with the royal family, including his father, King Charles III, per the reports, despite their return to the U.K. in August.

The royal family usually spends Christmas at the king’s country retreat, Sandringham, in Norfolk.

Harry and Meghan moved back to the U.K. this summer after six years in Montecito, California, with the Sunday Times reporting that they are “happy and settled” outside of London with their son, Prince Archie, 7, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 5.

Harry and Meghan enrolled the children in a British school for the first time ahead of the start of the academic year in September.

Days after the children started classes, news broke that they had changed schools due to security concerns.

“The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements,” a rep for the couple told Hello! in a statement last month. “The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family.”

“This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there,” the statement continued.

In late September, Harry and Meghan called out an “extraordinarily reckless” security incident by photographers at the children’s new school.

“There is a world of difference between legitimate media activity and photographers walking the perimeter of a school, stopping to look into the grounds and monitoring children as they go about their day,” a spokesperson for the couple told Us, adding that it was “concerning” how paparazzi seemed “unwilling to respect the privacy of children at school.”

The rep continued, “To behave in this manner in these particular circumstances, and so soon after the incident at RAF Fairford, demonstrates an extraordinary lack of judgment. Whatever photographs they may have been seeking, this was not only an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children; it was an irresponsible and ill-considered way to conduct themselves in the vicinity of a school.”
