Betting line keeps shifting before UFC 329 despite millions of Conor McGregor supporters

The betting markets are speaking in droves.

Conor McGregor is the most bet-on fighter — by far — at Saturday night’s UFC 329 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and he’s also accrued the most total money bet of any fighter on the card on BetMGM — yet the betting line keeps moving in the opposite direction.

The Post has learned that despite the massive liability and money on McGregor, markets have continued to move the line in favor of Holloway thanks to “respected, sharp action” on Holloway.

Below are the most-bet props on the entire 14-fight card, though, unsurprisingly, they’re all related to the main event.

  1. Conor McGregor by KO/TKO or DQ +275
  2. Max Holloway by KO/TKO or DQ -145
  3. Conor McGregor by Submission +2500
  4. Conor McGregor by Decision/Technical Decision +1400
  5. Max Holloway by Decision/Technical Decision +500

Many had speculated that money was coming in on Holloway, forcing his betting line to move from -210 to -300 on the fifth day, but that is actually not the case.

McGregor is getting the lion’s share of the action on Saturday, but the line has continued to move toward Holloway.

“The line is moving toward Holloway but we are still getting lopsided action on McGregor,” a spokesperson for BetMGM told The Post.

That signals some serious respect for the Hawaiian-born fighter, who will welcome back the biggest star in MMA history after a five-year layoff.

McGregor has previously fought Holloway in 2013, defeating him by unanimous decision in a fight that he had actually torn his ACL.

Why Trust New York Post Betting

Erich Richter is a brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt but he has a black belt in MMA betting. During the football season he’s showcased massive profits at The Post in the player prop market the last two seasons. While constantly betting long shots, his return on investment is 30.15 percent since 2022.
