Who is Brittany Watts? Wife of disgraced Cali Rep. Eric Swalwell

News RoomBy News RoomApril 11, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Embattled California Rep. Eric Swalwell, who is currently fighting off allegations of sexual misconduct and assault, has lived a public-facing life for two decades — but his wife of nine years seems to prefer privacy.

After Swalwell’s previous marriage ended in divorce, he and 31-year-old Brittany Watts were set up my mutual pals in 2015, according to a marriage notice in the New York Times.

After a year of dating, the pair tied the knot in October 2016 in Oakland, in a ceremony presided over by Nancy E. O’Malley, the Alameda County district attorney and deputy marriage commissioner at the time.

The couple share three young children — Nelson, Cricket, and Hank — and live in the luxurious wine region of Livermore, CA.

Outside of her husband’s political pursuits, Watts has her own impressive career.

She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, the Times reported.

The now 41-year-old previously worked as a director of sales at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon, CA, the outlet reported. She also worked as the director of corporate and leisure travel sales for the Loews Chicago Hotel, according to an employment history report.

She is now a small business owner in the hospitality industry, according to her husband’s government bio.

In light of her husband’s allegations, it appears that Watts deleted her social media accounts, but she is often paraded on Swalwell’s accounts for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.

Earlier this year, Swalwell gushed over wife as the “Mom and wife who does it all,” adding that “She does it with ease, grace, and beauty” to his almost half-a-million followers on Instagram.

More recently, Swalwell posted a chummy, loved-up video of him walking hand-in-hand with his wife along a Californian beach. The married couple discussed his political run for governor, in which he said he got a “Major endorsement” from his “wife and best friend.”

In the video dated March 29, Watts boasted that her husband is a “really great dad,” “really great husband,” and that she and her kids “can count on [Swalwell] for anything.”

Watts has not made any public statement about her husband’s sexual misconduct and assault allegations.

The 45-year-old Democratic favorite in the Californian governor’s race issued a blistering video statement Friday night, vehemently refuting the allegations and apologized Watts for making “mistakes in judgment in my past.”

“But those mistakes are between me and my wife, and to her I apologize deeply for putting her in this position,” he continued.

The Post reached out to Eric Swalwell and Brittany Watts for comment.
