Jinger Duggar has flown far from the Duggars’ nest in Arkansas, but where does she stand with her family?
Jinger is the sixth child of Arkansas natives Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, who famously share 19 kids in total. Jinger married Jeremy Vuolo in 2016 and moved to Laredo, Texas, where he was already doing ministry work. Nearly three years later, Jinger and Jeremy relocated to Los Angeles.
Jinger and Jeremy, who share three children, occasionally travel back to Arkansas to visit her relatives. They celebrated Christmas 2025 with the Duggars for the first time in almost a decade.
“We have not been back to the Duggar house since we’ve been married in nine years for Christmas,” Jinger said on the couple’s eponymous podcast in December 2025. “The reason we haven’t been back for Christmas Day is because that’s the only time of year that [Jeremy’s] family is all together.”
She added at the time, “Throughout the years, we’ve decided, ‘Like, OK, that’s going to be the time that we spend with the Vuolo family over Christmas.’ My family [is] always together a lot, and so it’s easy for us to pop back. We [recently] went back three times in one year for weddings.”

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcomed baby No. 6, Jinger Duggar, in December 1993, and raised all of their kids in their IBLP (Institute in Basic Life Principles) religion. Jinger took a step back from their faith once she married Jeremy Vuolo.
Despite their religious differences, Jinger has maintained relationships with her parents. Michelle even flew across the country for her daughter’s three births.
“I think that she’s only missed two, but each of ours she’s been there,” Jinger said on her podcast in April 2025. “[My son] Finn is grandbaby No. 37 for my parents, and that is insane to think about.”
According to Jeremy, his mother-in-law was always “fully committed” to supporting Jinger during labor and postpartum.
“She came a week before, she stayed a week and a half after, and she’s fully committed,” Jeremy recalled. “So she comes and serves. She’s, like, taking everything off of your plate every morning. I mean, she wakes up before any of us. It’s really sweet.”
Josh Duggar
Jinger Duggar’s eldest brother, Josh Duggar, was arrested in 2021 for allegedly possessing and receiving child pornography. He was found guilty and sentenced to 12 years in prison with an additional 20 years of supervised release.
Jinger was among the Duggar siblings to publicly address the charges.
“We are disturbed to hear of the charges against Josh,” Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo wrote in a social media statement. “While this case must go through the legal system, we want to make it clear that we absolutely condemn any form of child abuse and fully support authorities and judicial process in their pursuit of justice.”
Josh, who has maintained his innocence and filed multiple appeals, was previously accused of molesting sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar when he was a teenager.
Joseph Duggar
Jinger Duggar’s brother Joseph Duggar was arrested in 2026 for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old in Florida in 2020. (According to a police report, the victim claimed that Joseph “eventually apologized” for his actions.)
Two days later, Joseph’s wife, Kendra Duggar, was arrested for misdemeanor child endangerment. Kendra was released on bond that same day, with a family spokesperson telling Us that the charges were “unrelated” to Joseph’s case.
“It’s been one of those weeks that feels like years. And I did not think my heart could break like it has this week,” Jinger said on her podcast in March 2026. “The pain and heartbreak that we’ve had over this and just thinking of how it’s affected so many, yeah, it’s just unthinkable. So hard and painful on many levels.”
Jinger noted she could barely make sense of the news.
“You can’t be prepared for news like this,” she said. “Even though we’ve experienced something very similar before with one of my other siblings who made unthinkable choices and decisions that have affected all of us. And yet, the pain and hurt that’s caused to us … it’s hard to know what to do sometimes, moving forward. You just feel the weight of it.”
Jinger Duggar’s Sisters
Jinger, who grew up especially close to sister Jessa Duggar, has remained tight with her sisters since moving to Los Angeles. Their reunions are often documented via social media.
Jinger has shared pics from reunions with other sisters Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar, Joy-Anna Duggar, Johannah Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordyn Duggar and Josie Duggar. (The siblings also include brothers John-David Duggar, Josiah Duggar, Jedidiah Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar, Jason Duggar, James Duggar, Justin Duggar and Jackson Duggar.)
“Growing up in a big family is so unique — especially being one of the older ones,” Jinger wrote via her Instagram Stories in October 2025. “When I got married and moved out at 22, I still had so many younger siblings who were still so little. Now they’re older and it’s been the sweetest thing getting to hang out, see their personalities grow, and really get to know them as adults. It almost feels like we’re in 3 different ‘family eras,’ but in the best way.”
Months earlier in August 2025, Jinger revealed that she speaks with Jana, Jill, Jessa and Joy-Anna the most frequently.
Many of the Duggar siblings have also appeared on Jinger and husband Jeremy’s “Jinger and Jeremy” podcast for in-depth interviews. During a July 2026 interview with Joy-Anna, Jinger revealed that they weren’t as close growing up.
“There was an age gap, and I felt like the age gap was segregated by sections,” Jinger said at the time. “[Our family was] separated by an age gap of the older kids, the middle kids, the younger kids. I was, kind of, in the older section for many years [of] the six oldest. … I was in the older half, and then I just felt like you were one of the little kids and you were sandwiched between, you know, a lot of boys or whatever.”
She continued, “We also [have] different personalities, but I’m saying when you were little, that’s what I remember, like, you’re much younger than me. It’s crazy ‘cause you’re not like you’re really.”
Jinger Duggar’s Nieces and Nephews
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have nearly 40 grandchildren, so they keep track of the next generation’s names and birth order via a detailed spreadsheet. Without the well-organized tool, it can be difficult to recall who’s who in the family.
“I struggle to remember all the names of the grandkids,” Jinger Duggar said on her podcast in March 2025. “I have most of them down, but there are a couple — and the newer ones, there are more added all the time. I feel that pressure in, like, no one else is putting it on me. It’s me because when I go back, I’m like, ‘I feel so bad. I didn’t get to connect with them.’ Then, it’s like, ‘Oh, I guess it makes sense.”
Jinger’s daughters, Felicity and Evangeline, also sometimes struggle to remember their cousins’ names due to the family’s size and their crew living outside of Arkansas.
