What I keep in my ‘poopmaxing purse’ for optimal digestion and butt health

News RoomBy News RoomMay 11, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

It’s a bowel movement in a bag.

First, Gen Z started carrying around “anxiety bags” packed with essentials to calm their frazzled nerves, from fidget spinners to sour candy.

But for those that can’t imagine anything more stressful than constipation — or, gasp!, putting a bare behind on a public toilet seat — a “poopmaxxing purse” may be a No. 2 priority.

And one woman is going viral for hers, which she says is filled with things that help keep her digestion regular and her tush in tip-top shape.

Hally — who proclaims in her TikTok bio that she wants to “make pooping cozy again” — has made being regular her whole brand, sharing everything from her favorite “poopmaxxing snack platter” to her bathroom “poop setup.”

But her “poopmaxxing purse” video has really resonated with digestively-challenged doomscrollers, racking up over a million views.

“I’m not pooping to my full potential,” admitted one commenter after watching the video.

In it, Hally declares herself a “certified poopmaster” before pulling out her better bathroom must-haves, one by one — and, she noted, none of her recomendations were sponsored.

First, there’s hygiene. Hally said that everywhere she goes, she brings at least one “butt wipe,” holding up an individually-wrapped wet wipe by Dude Wipes.

She also has seat covers — which she snagged from a public restroom — and even some emergency toilet paper.

“I have also run into too many situations where only after I’ve taken a s—, do I realize I am out of toilet paper,” she said. “Never again!”

To make sure she’s regular, she packs some oatmeal — a fan favorite among fitness and fiber junkies alike that’s packed with soluble fiber to help soften stool.

She also shared packs of the viral Gruns gummies, the vibrant green gummy bears packed with fruits, veggies and six grams of fiber per serving to ease digestion.

While fiber supplements are gaining popularity, it’s relatively easy to add more to your diet simply by adding beans, extra vegetables or chia seeds to meals.

But suddenly maximizing fiber intake can cause “uncomfortable GI symptoms like gas, bloating and cramping,” as Maura Donovan, registered dietician and medical education specialist of sports nutrition at Thorne, previously told The Post.

The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends about 25 grams of fiber per day for women and 38 grams for men — but it’s estimated that more than 90% of women and 97% of men fall short of that number.

“Those recommended daily allowances are a great amount to aim for, in the right context for a healthy individual,” Donovan said.

There can also be too much of a good thing.

“With increased fiber intake, you may notice some changes in bowel patterns (hopefully, positive ones!), but keep an eye on these to make sure they’re not changing drastically from what you’re used to,” she said. “This could be an indication you’re overdoing it on the fiber.”

One more surprise item in Hally’s poop purse? A travel-size spray bottle of “toilet spray,” which she said she only uses if everyone else who uses the toilet isn’t allergic to the ingredients.

More fiber is just one way to poop more efficiently, but how we answer nature’s call can also be improved by reducing straining.

Forcing a bowel movement can lead to painful splits in the skin and veins around the anus to swell, increasing the risk of hemorrhoids.
