Vanessa Trump Supports Tiger Woods at DUI Court Appearance as Case Takes Dramatic Twist

News RoomBy News RoomSeptember 2, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Tiger Woods had the support of his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, as he struck a plea deal in his DUI case during a court appearance on Wednesday, September 2.

Woods, 50, and Trump, 48, walked side by side as they both entered and exited the Martin County Courthouse in Stuart, Florida. While inside, Woods pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful test in relation to his arrest in March.

The golfer was found guilty of careless driving, a moving violation, and agreed to pay $1,500 in fines.

Per the plea deal, Woods’ driver’s license was suspended for five years.

Woods barely spoke during the brief courtroom appearance on Wednesday morning, according to ESPN.

On March 27, Woods was arrested and charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit a lawful urine test after being involved in a rollover car accident near his home in Florida.

Woods initially pleaded not guilty and announced he would be entering rehab shortly after his arrest. He was previously arrested for suspicion of DUI after being found asleep behind the wheel of his car in 2017. After pleading guilty to reckless driving, prosecutors dropped the DUI charge as part of a plea agreement.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods said in a statement on March 31. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

He continued, “I’ve committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Woods and Vanessa — the ex-wife of President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. — began dating in late 2024. Woods confirmed their relationship in a March 2025 social media post.

“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!” he wrote. “We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

Woods briefly left rehab to support Vanessa amid her breast cancer battle, which she revealed in May.

Vanessa’s eldest child, daughter Kai Trump, exclusively told Us in July that having Woods in her family’s life has been “amazing.”

“He’s inspired me a lot,” said Kai, 19, who recently began her freshman year at the University of Miami, where she is on the women’s golf team. “Just to be a better person, better golfer, and stuff like that.”
