Trump could shake up LA mayor race with bombshell Spencer Pratt endorsement

News RoomBy News RoomMay 16, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

President Donald Trump may be preparing to toss a political grenade into Los Angeles’ mayoral race, by backing reality TV firebrand Spencer Pratt.

Buzz surrounding a possible Trump endorsement of Pratt has exploded inside conservative circles as the former reality star’s longshot campaign starts gaining serious attention far outside Hollywood gossip pages.

“Trump loves celebrity candidates, and Spencer knows exactly how to dominate headlines,” a Republican insider told gossip columnist Rob Shuter.

The source added that the prospect of Trump backing Pratt has “absolutely been discussed” inside the White House ahead of the June 2 primary.

A White House official told the Daily Mail on Saturday that if Trump decides to jump into the race, the announcement would come straight from him on Truth Social.

Pratt, 42, has become one of the race’s most unpredictable figures, but he insists he’s not carrying the MAGA banner despite being a registered Republican.

“I do not represent a party,” Pratt declared during a recent debate, casting himself as an “angry Angeleno” focused on Los Angeles’ spiraling homelessness crisis, public safety concerns, drug crime and street chaos.

The TV personality’s political rise has already sparked attacks from rival Nithya Raman, who branded him a “MAGA Republican.”

Raman serves on the Los Angeles City Council and is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Mayor Karen Bass has lately claimed that Pratt is leveraging a “general sense of anger” to build momentum for his mayoral campaign.

“I think that he is tapping into a general sense of anger that people have, not just in Los Angeles, but in many other places around our country,” Bass told MS NOW on Saturday morning.
