Tom Brady and Logan Paul Get Into Heated Altercation at World Cup Final After Fanatics Fest Slap

News RoomBy News RoomJuly 20, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

The simmering bad blood between Tom Brady and Logan Paul managed to infiltrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.

Brady, 48, and Paul, 31, had to be separated by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, as seen in a video Rubin, 53, posted via his Instagram Story on Sunday, July 19.

“You shouldn’t even be here,” Paul can be heard telling Brady as the two men exchanged middle fingers from their respective seats during the showdown between Spain and Argentina.

Paul and Brady’s latest interaction came on the heels of Brady slapping Paul across the face at Fanatics Fest on Friday, July 17.

In a video that has since gone viral, New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns intervened after the slap, which happened on stage at New York City’s Javits Center.

“Dork,” Brady wrote while reposting the video via X on Friday.

Meanwhile, Paul said he planned on “suing” Brady over the slap in a post made on Friday via his Instagram Story.

Paul and Brady have been publicly airing their grievances with one another for months, with some speculating it’s all leading to a high-profile WWE match featuring the two men. Paul signed a long-term, full-time deal with the company in January.

“I need to get an invite,” Brady told WWE’s Cody Rhodes at Fanatics Fest on Thursday, July 16, the day before the slap. “I’ve been waiting for [WWE president] Nick Khan to come up with some story line for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there, still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”

Brady referenced his former New England Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski, who has made multiple appearances in WWE.

“You know, my boy Gronk’s done it,” Brady said. “I’ve seen, obviously, Logan Paul do it. I think I could get in there for at least one match, right? C’mon Nick. C’mon make it happen.”

If he does get the opportunity to step inside the squared circle one day, Brady said he wants to be a “bad guy.”

“When you go on the road and you’ve had some success in the NFL, they don’t like you,” the 7-time Super Bowl champion explained. “It’s an incredible feeling when you work that entire day to basically try to send the crowd home early.”

Brady and Paul started beefing back in February, when Paul called himself “the highest level” of athlete before the pair faced off in a flag football game in Saudi Arabia.

“I hope people understand the level of competition this game is going to be,” Brady responded via social media. “If you’re on my team you’re going to be locked in, all out, and we’re going to not just win… but dominate.”

He added, “I was having a great morning and now I’m mad.”
