Tiger Woods sparks concern with inner circle after latest DUI arrest

News RoomBy News RoomMarch 30, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Some close with Tiger Woods explained he’s “frustrated and depressed about his state of health” after his latest DUI arrest in a rollover crash Friday in Florida, according to People.

The 50-year-old professional golfer returned to play in the TGL Finals last week after multiple injuries had sidelined him since 2024.

He underwent lumbar disk replacement surgery in October and also had surgery for a ruptured left Achilles last March.

“He is enabled by people making money off of his talent and reputation, but with his injuries and age, he is frustrated and depressed about his state of health,” one source said of Woods.

“He wants to play in major tournaments like the Masters, but he needs to get real. Once he does that, he should be better off because people do like Tiger. He is a good person.”

The same Woods source expressed concern over his behavior, specifically surrounding his relationship with girlfriend Vanessa Trump.

“They are an intense couple. It’s serious,” the source said of the pair, who’ve been dating for about a year.

“But Tiger has yet to look in the mirror and say, ‘You’re 50 years old and need to act like it.’”

Woods “has never really gotten over” the death of his father Earl, who died of prostate cancer in 2006, the source added.

“Tiger needs to get a grip on his limitations and make arrangements for them. His peace of mind has run amok over golf and his pain.”

Woods was arrested and charged with DUI with property damage, as well as refusal to submit to a lawful test, after the Friday crash in Jupiter Island, Fla., where he lives.

Friday’s incident involved Woods’ Land Rover and a pressure-cleaning truck pulling a small trailer, Martin County Sheriff John M. Budensiek said in a press conference.

The police chief explained that Woods “did exhibit signs of impairment.” However, authorities “were not suspicious of alcohol being involved in this case and that proved to be true at the jail,” where he blew “triple zeroes” on the breathalyzer test.

The 15-time major champion was bonded out and released from jail that same day.

Woods’ eyes appeared bloodshot in his mugshot.

His DUI arrest came after his February 2021 car crash that nearly took his right leg.

At the time, Woods underwent multiple surgeries for lower-right-leg injuries he suffered in a single-car crash in California — and spent three weeks hospitalized while dealing with the possibility of amputating his leg.
