Tiger Woods’ private jet lands in Switzerland after DUI arrest

News RoomBy News RoomApril 3, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Tiger Woods’ private jet arrived in Zurich, Switzerland early Friday morning, as the 15-time major champ plans to seek inpatient treatment following a car crash and DUI arrest, according to TMZ.

Although it is unclear if 50-year-old Woods was on the plane, Zurich is home to two of the top treatment centers — Paracelsus Recovery and Kusnacht Practice — both of which are known for exclusivity, privacy and a hefty price tag.

Woods’ private jet reportedly was on its way back to the United States Friday afternoon.

The news comes two days after a Florida judge granted the Woods’ request to travel outside of the U.S. to seek treatment away from media and public scrutiny.

Woods said in a statement on Tuesday that he was stepping away from the game to get treatment after his rollover crash in Florida last Friday.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods said. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.

“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Woods, who blew zeros on his breathalyzer test, told an officer that he had taken his prescription meds earlier in the day.

The names of the medication were redacted in an arrest affidavit released Tuesday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Department.

Two hydrocodone pills were found in his pocket during a search.

Woods was “sweating profusely,” and his movement was “lethargic and slow” while he was being interviewed by police, Deputy Tatiana Levenar wrote in the affidavit — adding that his eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” and his pupils were “extremely dilated.”

In video footage from the arrest, Woods can be heard saying that he called President Trump before he was handcuffed.

Woods is in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-daughter-in-law of the president.

She publicly supported Woods, writing “Love you” in an Instagram Story post on Friday, which included a photo of the pair.

Woods plead not guilty to the DUI charges.

Woods returned to golf in the TGL Finals last month after he underwent lumbar disk replacement surgery in October and also had surgery for a ruptured left Achilles last March. He hadn’t played since 2024.

His DUI arrest followed his February 2021 car crash that nearly cost him his right leg.

Woods was previously arrested for DUI after being found asleep in his car on May 29, 2017.

He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and checked into a treatment facility that year to get help with prescription drugs.
