Taylor Swift’s first appearance this season as the fiancée of the guy on the Chiefs isn’t happening Friday night.
Fresh off her engagement to star Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the 14-time Grammy winner appeared to skip the team’s season opener against the Chargers in Brazil.
TMZ confirmed that the pop mega star is not in attendance in São Paulo.
The AFC West rivalry game is taking place at Arena Corinthians, where the Chargers are the designated home team.
Swift, 35, did not make the trip after attending pal Brittany Mahomes’ 30th birthday bash in Nashville last weekend.
TMZ reported that none of the wives and girlfriends made the trek.
The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes posed for a photo with Swift at a dinner, as seen in Brittany’s carousel of Instagram snapshots.
Swift and Kelce, 35, announced their engagement on Instagram last week after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the couple captioned the joint post, which was set to her 2024 track “So High School,” long-speculated to be about Kelce.
Kelce proposed to Swift with an old mine-cut diamond ring designed by jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine in collaboration with the three-time Super Bowl champion, according to Page Six.
The “Fortnight” singer publicly flashed her ring for the first time last Thursday when she joined Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium, where his Cincinnati Bearcats fell to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 20-17.
Kelce proposed to Swift at his Leawood, Kansas, estate, Page Six confirmed.
The couple was first linked in 2023, with Swift making her first appearance at a Chiefs game in September of that year.
The Chiefs, coming off a Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, will get a stab at revenge next Sunday when the defending champions visit Kansas City.
