Taylor Swift has broken the internet again — this time with a smoldering new alternative album cover.
“The Life of a Showgirl: The Shiny Bug Vinyl Collection is available now on my site for 48 hours. Album Producers: Max Martin, Shellback and Taylor Swift 📸: Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott,” Swift, 35, captioned her latest post on Monday, August 18, revealing two options: the wintergreen and onyx marbled vinyl or the violet shimmer marbled vinyl.
The singer channeled a dark, seductive, almost vampiric aesthetic in her viral new cover art after teasing fans with a countdown prior to her launch.
Swift posed in a form-fitting beaded bodysuit with a subtle sparkle paired with fishnet tights and opera gloves adorned with matching rhinestones that gave off a black and ruby-red hue.
She completed her femme fatale-inspired look with smokey eye makeup, thick smudged eyeliner, sculpted contour and a statement crimson lip, while her hair was styled in soft waves.
Both vinyl variants sold out within one hour of the drop.
“The visuals for this era… your best album yet is coming,” one commenter wrote under her post on X. “Straight into my cart these are gorgeous!” another fan gushed.
“Iconic. You never miss,” a third replied, while a fourth rejoiced, “Taylor is clearing!!!!!!! She will be number one for months chileeeeeeee.”
Swift sent her fanbase into overdrive while sharing news of her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, during a chat with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, on the August 13 episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
During their candid exchange, she spoke about her original album artwork, in which she embodied her inner showgirl by donning bedazzled lingerie.
“For the photos, I love the photography so much,” Swift said. “The photos are done by [Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot] who are two of my favorite photographers. I called them up for this one and I’m so happy with how the photos came out.”
“This represents the end of my night. When I’m on tour, I have the same day every single day. My day ends with me in a bathtub,” she continued. “Not usually in a bedazzled dress, but we tried to keep it decent.”
