Taylor Swift was at the top of the star-studded guest list for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding.
Swift, 35, attended the nuptials of the Only Murders in the Building star, 33, and the record producer, 37, on Saturday, September 27, a source exclusively confirms to Us Weekly. According to the insider, Swift also was present for the couple’s rehearsal dinner held one day earlier on Friday, September 26.
Gomez walked down the aisle on Saturday in a custom Ralph Lauren gown with her maternal grandfather by her side, meeting Blanco on the other side to exchange vows.
“I married a real-life Disney princess,” Blanco wrote via Instagram on Sunday, September 28, sharing snaps of the couple after the dreamy ceremony.
Gomez replied, “I love you soooo much 🤍.”
Swift and Gomez have been friends since 2008 when they connected through their respective boyfriends at the time, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. As Gomez shared on the “Therapuss With Jake Shane” podcast in August, “The best thing we got out of those relationships was each other.”
Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco in December 2024 after more than one year of dating, writing via Instagram, “Forever begins now.”
Swift was among the well-wishers in the comments section, replying, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”
As Gomez’s wedding date approached, Swift confirmed her own engagement to Travis Kelce after two years together.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift and Kelce, 35, revealed in a joint Instagram post in August, sharing photos from the proposal.
Gomez expressed her excitement for Swift via her Instagram Stories at the time.
“When bestie gets engaged 🥰,” Gomez wrote alongside a repost of Swift and Kelce’s proposal photos.
Gomez also shared a screenshot of a resurfaced tweet Swift sent her 16 years earlier about the search for love.
“Real love still happens sometimes,” Swift wrote to Gomez in 2009. “It’s not just something we make up when we’re 9. I have to believe that. You do too.”
That same year, Gomez told Seventeen that “every single problem I ever have is healable by Taylor Swift,” especially regarding her love life.
“If I ever have an issue, Taylor has gone through it because she’s older than me, and she gives the most thought-out answers,” she said. “And what I love about Taylor is that she does believe in the whole love story and Prince Charming and soulmates. Because of her, I haven’t lost faith. We literally talk every day.”
In 2020, Swift and Gomez opened up about the depth of their friendship in the actress’ WSJ. Magazine cover story.
“There has always been this quality of sisterhood, and I don’t say that in a basic way,” Swift explained. “I knew from when I met her I would always have her back. In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don’t know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.”
As for Gomez, she noted there is “so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don’t know about because we don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do.”
She continued: “She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
