Taylor Frankie Paul Cosigns Fan Petition for ABC to Air Pulled ‘Bachelorette’ Season

News RoomBy News RoomAugust 14, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Taylor Frankie Paul remains hopeful that her season of The Bachelorette will eventually be released.

“You guys started a petition for the show. I love you all,” Taylor, 32, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, August 13, alongside a link to the Change.org motion advocating for ABC to release the footage. “I signed and left the link [above].”

Sharing a screenshot of the petition on a follow-up slide, Taylor added three crying emojis.

Taylor was named the season 22 lead of The Bachelorette in fall 2025. While her season was scheduled to air in March, ABC ultimately pulled it from their spring lineup days before the premiere.

The decision was made after a 2023 video of Taylor throwing chairs at ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in front of her daughter was leaked amid the pair’s then-open domestic violence investigation. Taylor, who pleaded guilty to assault in 2023 and was remanded to probation, is a mother of three. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 6, with ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as son Ever, 2, with Dakota, 33.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time,” a Disney Entertainment spokesperson told Us in a statement at the time. “Our focus is on supporting the family.”

Taylor subsequently addressed the situation, remaining grateful for ABC’s support.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” her rep told Us in a March statement after The Bachelorette was pulled from broadcast. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

The statement added at the time, “There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”

Dakota, for his part, has shut down the allegations regarding his conduct.

“Over the past several weeks, I’ve taken a step back and had time away from the chaos,” he wrote in an April social media statement. “That space has been a breath of fresh air and has given me clarity. My focus now is where it should have been all along-on my son and creating a stable, healthy environment for him moving forward.”

Utah police ultimately declined to press charges against Taylor, who completed her three-year probation sentence earlier this month.

As for the future of Taylor’s Bachelorette season, ABC has not publicly shared any plans to air the episodes.
