Any time I go to Paris, I make it a priority to stock up on French pharmacy skincare. The gentle yet elevated formulas work wonders on sensitive skin, and they’ve gained quite a few celebrity fans, too — Sydney Sweeney included. There’s one specific cream the actress dubbed her “holy grail,” and luckily, you don’t need to fly to Europe to get your hands on it.
Sweeney told The Cut that her makeup artist introduced her to Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentré, and she’s been hooked ever since.
“I’ve struggled most of my life with finding a morning lotion that would keep my skin hydrated all day and allow makeup to sit on my face while not breaking me out,” she said in an interview. “It’s one of my biggest recommendations for anyone looking for a good lotion.”
The lightweight, nongreasy formula has been makeup artists’ best-kept secret, and it’s on rare sale during Amazon’s Holiday Beauty Event.

The Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentré is a staple in Sweeney’s vanity because of its multi-tasking formula that works as a face cream and makeup primer. Smoothing it on your skin creates the ideal base for foundation. (Fun fact: When your face is adequately hydrated, your makeup is less likely to cake or pill.)
However, this cream does much more than prime and hydrate. It can actually be used in six ways: As a cleansing milk and makeup remover to refresh your skin at the end of the day, an aftershave balm to calm irritation and as a post-sun soother.
Nearly 28,000 shoppers have given this cream their five-star seal of approval because of the formula’s versatility. “This moisturizer has become a non-negotiable in my routine,” one reviewer writes. “I use it as my daily moisturizer, a primer under makeup (skin looks smoother, more glowy all day) and as an after-sun rescue product when my face feels tight and dehydrated. [I’m] repurchasing for life.”
The discount on the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentré won’t last forever. Nab a tube (or two) while it’s marked down for Amazon’s Holiday Beauty Event!
