Super Bowl 2026 novelty props: Gatorade color odds, coin toss, more

Novelty props are just about everywhere when betting on Super Bowl 2026.

This is where you get the weird stuff: Betting on the coin toss, betting on the national anthem, and even on the color of the Gatorade that will be poured on the winning coach.

Although all of these markets are state-specific.

If you’re looking to bet on Gatorade color at a legal sportsbook, you’re limited to Illinois, New Jersey, Oregon, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Just about every sportsbook will allow you to bet on that market in the states listed.

Currently, DraftKings Sportsbook is pricing the colors orange and blue as co-favorites, coming in at +250.

Meanwhile, yellow/lime comes in at +275, followed by purple (+700), Red/pink (+750), and water/clear (11/1).

This can be a tricky market to wager on, though. We’ve seen in years past that Gatorade color was the target of suspicious betting patterns in the lead-up to the big game in 2024.

This is obviously something that can lead to insider information wagering, or something as simple as seeing a player get some Gatorade from a cooler during the game, with wagers coming in on it.

As for other oddball bets, you can target the coin toss, which is a strange wager that people make, considering most sportsbooks charge a vig for providing the facility on this market.

My best recommendation is if you want to bet $20 on the coin toss, find a friend at the game to bet on the coin toss, since this is a true 50/50 market; there’s no reason to bet this at -102 as most sportsbooks have it.

Regardless, you can bet on the opening coin toss winner as well; the Seahawks and Patriots each come in at -105 on bet365.

Odd-ball event contracts at Kalshi

Kalshi is able to offer just about all of the props you see above, plus more, in just about every state in the United States.

  • Which brands will advertise during the Super Bowl? All State (49 percent), Disney+ (61 percent), Netflix (56 percent)… (many more)
  • Who will attend the game? Tom Cruise (43 percent), Kendrick Lamar (44 percent) … (many more)
  • Bad Bunny’s halftime opener? Titi Me Pregunto (68 percent) La MuDANZA (15 percent) … (many more)

There are loads more markets on Kalshi, feel free to give them a try, especially if you don’t have access to traditional legal sports betting.

Why Trust New York Post Betting

Erich Richter is a brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt but he has a black belt in MMA betting. During the football season he’s showcased massive profits at The Post in the player prop market the last two seasons. While constantly betting long shots, his return on investment is 30.15 percent since 2022.
