There’s nothing better than wearing a chic, cozy layer this time of year — but it can hard to find a style that’s comfy without being frumpy. Thankfully, Sofía Vergara made it easy. She inspired Us with a long rich-mom cardigan, and we found a similar sleek option for only $30 on Amazon.
A few days ago, Vergara posted an Instagram Story that made every fashion writer stop scrolling. She wore a plain brown top, baggy jeans and a sweeping beige cardigan that trailed nearly to her ankles. It’s a cozy yet pulled-together style that acts like a lightweight coat, which is exactly what we need right now.

This Livcloth Knit Maxi Cardigan has everything we love about Vergara’s version, including the cream color, chunky-knit fabric and floor-grazing silhouette. It even has a similar drape, which makes it appear effortlessly expensive.
The thick weight hits the sweet spot, too. The dreamy outer layer is warm enough to replace a throw-on jacket on crisp mornings yet is light enough to prevent overheating the moment you walk indoors.
Shoppers love the sweeping knit style as much as Vergara; some people, like this Amazon shopper, said the sweater has a “very high-end feel and look,” and it only adds to the appeal.
“I am obsessed with this cardigan,” the above reviewer continued. “It is absolutely beautiful in person, and has a weight to it that makes it feel much more expensive than it actually is.”
They also approve of the long length, which “hangs perfectly without feeling too heavy or bulky.”
Another happy reviewer echoed the sentiment and shared, “The length is really dramatic in a good way and makes even basic outfits look more put together. I wore it over leggings and a tank to grab coffee one morning, and ended up getting compliments from random people asking where it was from.”
Throw this maxi cardigan over jeans, leggings or a slip dress and suddenly, you look like a Beverly Hills rich mom. Consider your fall layering dilemma solved!
