Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson Had ‘Given Up’ on Finding The One Before Meeting Maggie Sajak

News RoomBy News RoomJune 20, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson never thought he’d meet a woman like Maggie Sajak — and now the athlete believes she’s The One.

“Last year, I had kind of given up on finding a girl I wanted to be with,” Olson, 28, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, June 18. “I remember thinking to myself that if I’m gonna date someone I want them to have the same morals I have and to have a kind soul. To like me for me and not for what I post on social media. To love their family and enjoy spending time with them. To not take life so seriously and not care what other people think.”

According to Olson, “somehow” he found all of that — “and more” — in Sajak, 31.

“I’ve never met someone I thought I could spend every day with until I met her, and a major reason why is because we can be our true selves around each other,” he gushed on Thursday. “If you think you haven’t found The One yet and that it’s ‘too late,’ trust me it’s not.”

Olson continued, “Sometimes life only gives you what you truly want when you’ve been patient enough. So the moral of the story? Don’t rush it, and never settle. And yeah … loving Disney was an added bonus for us both🤩.”

Olson and Maggie, the daughter of Wheel of Fortune icon Pat Sajak, revealed in April that they were dating.

“I’m a very weird person, I’m a very out there person. I’m not going to hold back who I am as a person, and people seem to enjoy that company,” Olson exclusively told Us Weekly last month, addressing his whirlwind romance. “I’m happy that I’m able to be myself truly in every aspect now. … It’s really cool because we’re obviously living very different lives right now on the opposite side of the country, but we’re able to come together and just have an awesome relationship.”

Olson further revealed that both he and Maggie were committed to making their relationship work despite long distances.

“It’s just about planning and making sure you’re setting aside time to see each other and make really cool experiences happen because a start of a relationship never happens again,” he told Us. “You only get one chance at a start of a relationship.”

The Dancing With the Stars season 35 competitor has even earned the approval of his girlfriend’s dad, 79.

“He’s a great guy,” Olson told Us in May, revealing that he’s met Pat in person. “Everybody’s nervous to meet the father of the person they’re dating, or mother or both.”
