WASHINGTON — Outgoing firebrand Rep. Nancy Mace used her new YouTube talk show to debut spicy tattoos on both arms — as she went sleeveless in public for the first time in months.
Mace (R-SC) broke out her inked-up gun show while promoting “Get Maced,” a program where she will apparently address news of the day.
The 48-year-old South Carolina Republican revealed in February that she got several tattoos, which provided her “the pain that I need to feel.”
However, she had kept them almost entirely covered up in public until she took to social media late last week to tease her future plans.
Back in February, she said she got nine tattoos in rapid succession to mark the exodus of staffers from her office who badmouthed her to the press and the breakup with her fiancé — among other bad experiences.
The 48-year-old also described it as a way to “reclaim” her identity and body.
“So my story is I am totally broken,” she bluntly told Politico earlier this year.
“I have PTSD over what I’ve been through.”
The outgoing congresswoman explained that she dealt with alleged rape and sexual molestation throughout her life, while lamenting the tough relationship she had with her father.
Earlier this year, she vied for the GOP nod to become governor of South Carolina, but ultimately finished in fifth place. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson (R), whom Mace accused of ignoring her sexual assault accusations against her ex-fiancé as well as others, won a runoff for the nod.
Mace briefly explored the possibility of running for Senate after Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) died due to heart problems last month, but quickly scrapped that plan. She has since backed fellow Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) in the race.
The online peanut gallery was stunned when photos of Mace’s tattoo-covered arms took social media by storm.
“What the f—,” a user named Joe simply wrote on X.
“This is real,” lefty influencer Keith Edwards gasped.
“She’s ready to make even more poor decisions in her 50s,” another user chided.
“We’re living in a simulation,” activist Shannon Watts quipped on X.
