Real Housewives of Miami’s Lisa Hochstein Breaks Silence Over Spying Charge Being Dropped: ‘Justice’

News RoomBy News RoomJune 23, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Former Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein spoke out following the announcement that charges in her and boyfriend Jody Glidden’s eavesdropping case have been dropped.

“I’m grateful that this is all behind me,” Hochstein, 43, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, June 22. “All charges have been dropped.”

The Bravo star went on, “[The charges] never should’ve been there in the first place and I’m finally free of this burden that [has] affected my family and I tremendously.”

Hochstein also shared news coverage of the dismissal along with the caption, “Justice.”

Hochstein and Glidden were arrested in April in connection to criminal charges related to her ex-husband, Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein. The pair were accused in court documents of “unlawfully and intentionally” attempting to secretly record “oral statements by Lisa’s ex-husband, Leonard ‘Lenny’ Hochstein, and those Lenny spoke with” between March 12 and March 31, 2023.

Lisa and Glidden’s spokesperson told Us Weekly at the time of their arrest, “This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court.”

Us obtained court documents confirming that the criminal case against Hochstein and Glidden, 52, was officially closed on Monday after they completed a pretrial diversion program. (Hochstein reportedly completed the program on Thursday, June 18, while Glidden finished it on Tuesday, June 16.)

“We are pleased the charges against Lisa Hochstein and Jody Glidden have been dismissed and they can move forward with their lives,” their attorneys told People on Monday.

Us reported in May that the couple reached an agreement with prosecutors to resolve charges of interception of wire, oral or electronic communications without prosecution. Their attorneys confirmed to Us at the time that “all charges” against the duo would be “dismissed [in] mid-June without any admission of guilt or conviction.”

Court documents indicated that the RHOM stars took advantage of the program as “an alternative to prosecution offered by the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office,” according to NBC News Miami.

“[The pretrial diversion program] provides offenders with non-violent priors a viable alternative to a criminal conviction,” the office explained “The program serves criminal defendants by allowing them to make significant changes in their lives so they can avoid further involvement with the criminal justice system. Offenders enter the program voluntarily, and if they complete all conditions and remain arrest-free during participation, the State Attorney’s Office will drop the charges.”

Lisa was married to plastic surgeon Lenny from 2009 to 2024. They share two children: son Logan Marc, 10, and daughter Elle Marie, 6.

Unfortunately, Real Housewives of Miami fans won’t get to see Lisa’s legal drama play out onscreen because Bravo put the franchise on pause earlier this year.

“I will say, this was not my decision,” executive producer Andy Cohen told listeners on the March 23 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. “And by the way, look, I’m an EP [executive producer] on all these shows. If it was up to me, they would be rolling all the time and on. I mean, better for me. … Frankly, I’m happy that people are so passionate about it, and I hope they tell their friends to watch. This is a ratings game after all.”
