The Ravens are on the hunt for a new head coach.
After 18 seasons in Baltimore, John Harbaugh was fired by the franchise Tuesday, shocking the NFL world.
Almost exactly 24 hours after the Harbaugh canning, a coach with close ties to the family has the best shot at the gig.
Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, who spent four seasons under Harbaugh in Baltimore and now works for brother Jim, has a 40 percent chance to be the Ravens’ next head coach, according to Kalshi, a New York-based financial exchange and prediction market.
Minter, who joined Michigan’s staff under Jim in 2022 before following him to Los Angeles before the 2024 season, has led a Chargers defense that has ranked in the top 11 in both points and yards allowed in each of the past two seasons.
A big group of familiar names remain in the mix, though, per Kalshi.
Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who is also a top candidate for the Raiders’ job, has the second-best odds at 18 percent, as of Thursday afternoon.
Former Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who stepped away from his OC job with the Commanders earlier this week, is sitting at 16 percent, the third-best chances at Kalshi.
Betting on the NFL?
Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula and recently fired Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski are all around 10 percent.
On the other hand, it appears Harbaugh is going to land on his feet.
The Super Bowl champion head coach is a heavy betting favorite to be the Giants’ next leader on the sidelines, and his agent is already getting calls from more than a half-dozen teams.
