Pat Sajak won the ultimate prize when he became a dad of two.
Shortly after his divorce from Sherrill Sajak in 1986, the former Wheel of Fortune host met Lesly Brown, whom he married in December 1989. The pair welcomed son Patrick in 1990 and daughter Maggie in 1995.
Pat retired from Wheel of Fortune in June 2024 after more than 40 years. Before his last episode, the game show alum told Maggie that he was ready for the chapter to end so that he could experience “other things in life” with Lesly by his side.
“My goal was not to do this job and to keel over on it,” he shared. “I’ve always said, you’ve heard me say this dozens of times, ‘I’d rather leave a couple years too early than a couple years too late.”
“I’m looking forward to whatever’s ahead,” Pat added.

Lesly Brown-Sajak
Pat met Lesly through mutual friends. The TV personality proposed in summer 1989 after less than a year of dating, and the two tied the knot that New Year’s Eve.
Lesly is a former model-turned-photographer who once posed for Playboy’s “Women of Washington.” In 1986, Lesly graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in television production.
In 2019, Lesly joined Pat on Wheel of Fortune for the game show’s 7,000th episode.
“Speaking of contracts, I signed one a long time ago with this beautiful woman — my wife, Lesly,” Pat said at the time while introducing Lesly. “We’re about to celebrate anniversary number….”
“Thirty,” Lesly added.
Patrick Sajak
Pat and Lesly welcomed their first child, son Patrick, in September 1990. Patrick graduated from medical school in 2021 and is now a doctor, with his dad celebrating the accomplishment on Wheel of Fortune.
“Do you mind if I do a little parental bragging here?” he said to cohost Vanna White. “So you know my son, Patrick, you’ve known him all his life. Well, he’s made it through medical school, and he is now officially Dr. Sajak, and we’re all thrilled about that.”
Pat continued, “The only troubling part is he insists that I call him Dr. Sajak. Lesly and I couldn’t be prouder, and I tried to get him into geriatrics, but he refused, but that’s a personal thing. Anyway, congratulations, son.”
Patrick’s sister also celebrated his milestone via Instagram.
“My big brother officially became a doctor today, and I am the MOST proud,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself posing with Patrick.
Maggie Sajak
Pat and Lesly welcomed their second child, daughter Maggie, in January 1995. Maggie has followed in her dad’s footsteps on Wheel of Fortune, making her debut on the show when she was just one year old. Years later, Maggie filled in for White, who took over for Pat while he recovered from surgery in 2019.
In 2021, Maggie became Wheel of Fortune’s social correspondent.
Outside of the show, Maggie has pursued a law career. She graduated from Princeton University, completed a post-grad program at Columbia University and later earned a law degree from Georgetown in 2023.
“Let the lawyer jokes begin,” she captioned a photo of herself in a cap and gown at the time.
In April 2026, Maggie made headlines when she hard-launched her romance with Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson. The pair took to Instagram to share a photo of themselves cuddled up to each other at Disneyland.
