She is set to go seventh in today’s women’s slalom event.

Slalom, a fast-paced event, requires skiers to navigate winding or zigzag course marked by poles, gates, or obstacles with precise turns. Shiffrin’s best event, historically, is slalom, and its the one she won her first Olympics gold medal in 12 years ago.
