Noah Kahan Says He Would ‘Absolutely’ Collaborate With Taylor Swift ‘If She Was Down’ (Exclusive)

Noah Kahan is dishing on his dream collaborators.

While speaking to Us Weekly at the Time100 Gala on Thursday, April 23, the “Stick Season” singer, 29, exclusively shared that he would “absolutely” collaborate with Taylor Swift.

“If she was down for it, I’m all about it,” he said.

Kahan and Swift, 36, share a connection through producer and musician Aaron Dessner, who has also collaborated with Ed Sheeran, Gracie Abrams, Laufey, Florence and the Machine, Mumford & Sons and more. Dessner, 50, produced Swift’s albums Evermore (2020), Midnights (2022), The Tortured Poets Department (2024), Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (2021), Red (Taylor’s Version) (2021), and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) (2023).

Meanwhile, Dessner worked with Kahan on his latest album, The Great Divide, which was released on Friday, April 24.

“I feel like it’s kind of like my last album’s [Stick Season (2021)] older, wiser brother,” Kahan told Us. “I think it’s a little bit more introspective. And I think musically, it definitely goes into some new territory. Aaron Dessner added a lot of amazing production elements that I think carry my music into a new world. And I think it’s been really cool to experiment in that way.”

In addition to Swift, Kahan said he would “love” to collaborate with Phoebe Bridgers — another artist who has worked with Dessner and his band The National.

Kahan previously gushed about the possibility of working with Swift in an interview with Entertainment Weekly on April 15, calling the “Fate of Ophelia” singer an “all-time great storyteller and a great emotional connector to her fans.”

“I think she’s really smart in the way that she has evolved in her career, and that’s something that I really look up to,” he continued. “It’s a lot harder than it looks, and I think we can make something really sad.”

Kahan was honored at Thursday’s event as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026. The musician told Us that it felt “incredible” to be included in the list, which also features comedian Nikki Glaser, actress Zoe Saldaña, singer Luke Combs, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim and others.

“Every year, I read about all the 100 people. I was like, I couldn’t believe I’m amongst any of these people. It’s an honor,” he shared. “I don’t know, imposter syndrome [is] on high right now.”

Kahan was endorsed for the list by musician Marcus Mumford of the band Mumford & Sons.

“Noah Kahan is the same slightly anxious and more than slightly hilarious person whether he’s on a golf course or backstage or onstage. In an age when we can buff and polish the image we present to the world, Noah will give you a true picture of himself,” the endorsement read. “Musically, he brings us closer to our humanity in the same way some of the great ’60s folk songwriters did: pairing lyrics set in a particular space and time with traditionally infused pop melodies like Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell at their best. Noah paints scenes of his own experience that resonate broadly. We can access the universality of our feelings through the individuality of his storytelling.”

Mumford, 39, continued, “Noah is not the most glamorous person in the room. He’s the most honest. And that’s why so many of us have connected with him as an artist.”
