MLB still has the best All-Star Game, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Far from it.
The fan voting is much improved, but the league selection process needs work. Seiya Suzuki, Michael Busch, Cristopher Sánchez and of course Juan Soto shouldn’t be sitting home while MLB invites middle relievers and a just-promoted rookie.
Some veteran players aren’t thrilled to see the uber-talented fireballing rookie Jacob Misiorowski make it as a replacement after five MLB starts. Many fans will enjoy The Miz. But merit should rule, not marketing.
