Hailey Bieber isn’t the only iconic celebrity to have an “iPhone case with the lip gloss on it.”
“@haileybieber did it first 💜,” Millie Bobby Brown captioned a Saturday, August 16, Instagram video of herself in a bathroom.
In the clip, Brown, 21, wrapped two elastic hair ties around her lilac smartphone case and tucked a tube of her Florence by Mills lip gloss underneath. (Brown launched her Florence by Mills brand in 2019.)
Bieber, 28, is the founder of beauty brand Rhode Skin, which is widely known for its branded iPhone case that has a built-in holder for a tube of lip gloss.
Hailey’s husband, Justin Bieber, even mentioned the smartphone innovation on his recently released song “Go Baby.”
“That’s my baby / She’s iconic,” Justin, 31, sings in the song, which dropped last month. “iPhone case / Lip gloss on it / And oh, my days / She keeps ’em takin’ / It’s comedy just block it out my baby.”
Brown set her Saturday post to Justin’s Swag single, and, apparently, the entire upload also impressed Hailey.
“Hehe ❤️❤️❤️,” Hailey wrote in the comments section, dropping a “like” on the video itself.
Hailey launched Rhode in 2022, ultimately selling it to e.l.f. Beauty in May for an impressive $1 billion sum.
“Rhode is like my baby, I’m so precious about it,” Hailey told The Business of Fashion in June. “I remember walking away [from the negotiating table], like, ‘They’re it.’ I knew it in my gut. We just said so many of the same things.”
She added, “I know we’ve only been around for three years, and we’re still such a baby, but I do see us being a legacy brand.”
Hailey will remain with Rhode to serve as Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation, as well as a strategic advisor to e.l.f. as a whole.
