Michael Penix Jr. marries fiancee Olivia Carter at Georgia resort ahead of third Falcons season

News RoomBy News RoomMay 8, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

This offseason was particularly special for Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

The 26-year-old signal-caller and his fiancée, Olivia Carter, announced in a joint Instagram post that they tied the knot in Georgia last Saturday.

“Till death do us part,” they wrote with a diamond ring emoji, adding a carousel of their wedding photos.

They got married at Chateau Elan, a winery and destination resort in Braselton, Ga.

One snapshot showed Penix, who wore a black tuxedo with a bow tie, wiping tears from his eyes at the altar.

Carter, also 26, wore a white gown that was strapless with a corset top.

She played soccer at the University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2022.

Penix’s Falcons teammates attended the wedding, including running back Bijan Robinson, wide receiver Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts, according to ESPN.

An Instagram photo showed the players and officials at the wedding, including former Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot, who was fired after the 2025 season.

The celebration continued as Penix turned 26 on Friday.

Carter shared and gushed over being his wife in a series of Instagram Story posts for his birthday.

“So happy to be able to celebrate you today as your wife!!!” she wrote, including a snapshot of the pair wearing cowboy hats.

“To forever,” Carter said in another post, including a photo of Penix pointing to the grill in her mouth at their wedding reception.

The quarterback, who was the eighth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, reshared it to his Instagram Story.

“I love you Mrs. Penix,” he wrote with a red heart emoji.

Penix and Carter, who got engaged in 2024, met while he was playing football at the University of Washington.

Penix, who had surgery for a torn ACL last November, is rehabbing with the hopes of returning to action in Week 1.

He will compete with veteran Tua Tagovailoa for the starting job in Atlanta.

Atlanta signed Tagovailoa to a one-year, $1.3 million deal in March after he was released by the Miami Dolphins.
