Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. could use a change of scenery. And he has now taken one significant step toward making that a reality.
News broke on Thursday that Harrison Jr., who was the Cardinals’ No. 4 pick of the 2024 NFL Draft but has underwhelmed in his NFL career so far, hired two new agents: Todd France and Tory Dandy of Athletes First.
This doesn’t directly signal Harrison Jr.’s intention to be traded. And even if it did, the Cardinals might prefer to keep the former Ohio State product around instead of cutting ties in his third NFL season.
What’s for sure is that if Arizona is open to trading Harrison Jr., several other West Coast teams should have interest.
The San Francisco 49ers’ receiver room has been decimated by injuries to this point and could use another potential impact player at the position.
The Las Vegas Raiders have Brock Bowers catching passes. But the team could use other targets as well, if only to take a defense’s attention away from their superstar tight end.
Thus far, their receiving corps include Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, and Cody White.
Yeah, exactly.
Harrison Jr.’s talent has never been in question. But something isn’t clicking in Arizona, and the team might be keen to trade him while he still has some value left.
The NFL trade deadline is on November 10. Harrison Jr. is one of the highest-profile players who could be dealt. And if hiring new agents indicates of his willingness to find a new home, both the 49ers and the Raiders could come calling.
