Maine Dem Senate hopeful Troy Jackson kicked out of own Facebook group for rudeness

News RoomBy News RoomSeptember 26, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Troy Jackson, the Democratic candidate for US Senate in Maine, was booted from his own Facebook group this week for being rude to supporters.

The beef started in the group “Mainers for Troy Jackson,” when members complained about cancelled campaign events.

The former Allagash logger couldn’t help chiming in, replying with a sarcatic “so sad.”

He added curtly, “We have one in Belfast this weekend.”

The comments ignited instant backlash from his woke supporters, who called them “patronizing” and “insulting” — and then promptly removed him from the group.

“This cannot be Troy speaking,” wrote an incredulous South Thomaston resident Carla Poindexter White. “He would not speak so insultingly and patronizingly to regular people let alone supporters.”

“This is horrifying,” added Poindexter White, whose Facebook profile includes a picture of herself posing with Jackson.

But much to her dismay, the Facebook account does belong to the DSA-backed candidate, the Maine Wire confirmed, noting the blunt remarks came from Jackson’s personal account — the only one not managed by paid strategists.

“Removed . . . freaky,” Poindexter White wrote two hours after Jackson’s comment.

It’s the third time in the past few days that Jackson, 58 — whose past antics include throwing a water bottle in a fit of rage during a Maine State House fight — went rogue on Facebook, despite running one of the most hotly contested races in the country against five-term Republican Sen. Susan Collins.

He sparred Sept. 17 with former Maine State Senate Majority Leader Garrett Mason, a Republican, who said Jackson exhibited an “astonishing lack of judgment” for saying “I wish nothing would have happened with Graham” Platner, the accused rapist he replaced on the ballot.

“Says the guy that supports a child rapist in Donald Trump!” Jackson replied to Mason.

In a Sept. 20 thread, in which a Maine voter accused Jackson of mortgage fraud, the Senate hopeful shot back, “bulls–t,” the Bangor Daily News reported.

The Post previously reported that Maine Democrats were so desperate to replace Platner with another rugged “working-class hero” type that the left wing threw its support behind the fifth-generation lumberjack — despite a past that was anything but progressive.

Asked by reporters about his previous anger outbursts, Jackson said, “I wear my heart on my sleeve.”

Jackson did not respond to a request for comment.
