Love Island USA‘s Jen Terry is using her platform from the show to launch a new career with “boob-related” products.
“I have always felt this way. I think a lot of the modeling jobs I’ve done my entire life have been a lot of lingerie and swimwear because of how I look,” Jen, 23, exclusively tells Us. “So I’ve always had trouble finding bras that fit and bathing suits that fit.”
Jen is using her own struggles to change the experience for others.
“I had so many DMs from girls asking also for help on what they should be wearing because they also have big boobs and struggle,” she notes. “So I think it would be cool to create something that everyone could feel good in.”
The reality star isn’t keeping herself boxed into one category, saying, “I am still exactly figuring out what I want to do. But I still want to continue to model — and eventually — I want to start my own brand.”
Love Island USA follows a group of singles who are challenged to couple up for a chance at winning the show’s $100,000 prize. The contestants — a.k.a. Islanders — live in isolation under constant video surveillance.
Jen appeared on season 8 this summer, where she entered as a bombshell and formed multiple connections before ending up with Gal Tshnieder. Gal’s decision not to stay with Jen when they returned to the villa caused her elimination. Gal was removed just a few hours later after being voted out by his fellow Islanders.
“We are genuine friends 1792444766,” Jen tells Us. “And I think it’s because we’re so similar that we can never be together. I don’t like fighting with people or having bad luck with anyone so it’s great.”
During her time in the villa, Jen felt conflicted about how she would be received by the audience.
“I was hoping that they would [like me] and I was hoping that I was making the right decisions when I was in there,” she shares. “So [I was thinking that] I hope they are relating to me and I hope they’re understanding me more and that they don’t think I am a bitch or something.”
She continues: “I was concerned, [though]. I have been modeling for years and I don’t know why in my head, I was like, ‘Did I ruin my modeling career by coming on this show?’ Like, the whole time I was there, because I just didn’t know — and obviously I didn’t, so that’s a great thing. But I don’t know why I thought that. I think I’m just silly, and you know, I was thinking all of the scenarios in my head.”
Jen has since been overwhelmed by the support. “It’s been really positive coming out and seeing all the love that people were showing me when I was there, it’s definitely been crazy now,” she says. “It’s opened so many more opportunities for me.”
Looking ahead, Jen is keeping her options open. She doesn’t see herself returning to another dating show — but she isn’t ruling out reality TV in general.
“I would want to do Dancing With the Stars,” she tells Us before throwing out Mark Ballas, Ezra Sosa or Val Chmerkovskiy as pros she would want to be paired with if given the chance.
