Lisa Hochstein Could Face Jail Time for Allegedly Intercepting Ex Lenny’s Calls: What to Know

News RoomBy News RoomApril 17, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

The Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein surrendered to authorities in April 2026 after she and ex-boyfriend Jody Glidden were each charged with one count of interception of wire, oral or electronic communications in connection to her ex-husband, Lenny Hochstein.

Lisa’s attorney, Jayne Weintraub, confirmed to TMZ that the Bravolebrity voluntarily surrendered and “has nothing to hide.” After taking mugshot photos, Lisa was released the same day on her own recognizance.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Lisa and Glidden allegedly “unlawfully and intentionally” intercepted communications from Lenny and his associates in March 2023.

Glidden, for his part, was arrested and taken into custody in Miami Beach, Florida, in March 2026. Glidden, who entered a not guilty plea, is no longer listed in the jail’s database of inmates.

What Lisa Hochstein and Jody Glidden’s Charges Mean

Rachael Bennett, a certified family law specialist and senior attorney at Sullivan Law & Associates, broke down the legal situation on Legally Us.

“This is pretty serious. They’re accused of secretly bugging Lenny’s car with a listening device. Now, some states require what’s called an ‘All Party Consent’ if you’re going to record someone, and in Florida, that’s definitely one of the laws there,” Bennett, who has no connection to the case, exclusively told Us in April 2026. “That means that if you record someone without their knowledge or permission, that recording is considered to have been obtained illegally in Florida. This is considered a third degree felony, which means she could face up to five years of prison time if she’s convicted.”

Lisa Hochstein’s lawyer, as well as Jody Glidden’s attorneys, also told Us that, “This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court.”

Lisa and Lenny Hochstein, who share two children, finalized their divorce in 2024.

According to Bennett, Lisa and Glidden’s defense could “provide key context” in the case.

“As we all know, divorces can absolutely bring out the worst kind of behavior from even the most reasonable people,” Bennett explained. “But this defense could also be seen as an effort to downplay the situation, so I think she’s going to have to be careful not to minimize her actions here if these claims are true.”

Inside Lisa and Lenny Hochstein’s Divorce

Lenny Hochstein filed for divorce from Lisa Hochstein in May 2022 after 12 years of marriage. The pair finalized their split in November 2024 and share custody of two children, son Logan and daughter Elle.

Their legal fights, however, have continued well beyond the divorce settlement. According to court documents obtained by Us, the exes continue to clash over property and finances.

In an April 3, 2026, filing, Lisa asked for temporary attorney’s fees after Lenny objected to a court’s recommended order regarding valuable belongings. She claimed Lenny “continues to litigate this matter to no end to exert financial pressure on [me].”

Lisa’s legal team further alleged that Lenny admitted in writing to having a net worth of $175 million. while her “income is uncertain and inconsistent.” Lisa earns a salary from RHOM, which is on pause by Bravo, and other brand partnerships.
