Lindsay Lohan Shares Rare Photo of 2-Year-Old Son Luai in Sweet Instagram Post: ‘Lucky Mama’

News RoomBy News RoomMay 29, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Lindsay Lohan is one proud mama.

The Freakier Friday star, 39, shared a rare photo of her 2-year-old son, Luai, via Instagram on Thursday, May 28, giving a glimpse into her life as a mom.

In the snap, Lohan can be seen smiling at the camera as she hugs her little one. Luai, who has his face turned away from the camera, is shown planting a kiss on his mom’s cheek.

“Lucky mama 🤍☺️✨,” the actress captioned the post, tagging husband Bader Shammas, with whom she welcomed Luai in July 2023.

Lindsay’s mom, Dina Lohan, commented on the post, “So beautiful hunny 🙏we are blessed #Godsgifttomoms #Grandmoms #Deedee.”

Lindsay has been vocal in the past about protecting her son’s privacy after growing up in the spotlight herself. To date, the Parent Trap star has not shown a picture of Luai’s face.

“It’s something my husband and I discuss all the time. ‘Do we want to show our son?’” she told the Times of London in August 2025. “We will know when the time might be right, but it’s also a protection.”

“I don’t ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was. They were terrifying moments I had in my life — I have PTSD to the extreme from those things,” she continued. “The most invasive situations. Really scary. And I pray stuff like that never comes back. It’s not safe. It’s not fair.”

Lindsay and Shammas live in Dubai, where she feels it’s easier to raise her child.

“Dubai is a safe place where we can just have a normal life, outside of what I call ‘the noise.’ Where my husband and I can see what is right for our child. It’s not about me any more,” she said.

“Kids are so pure, such a clean slate, and they are learning everything for the first time — it is beautiful,” she went on. “And I want to relive those moments with my son, like I have never seen them before.”

Lindsay marked Luai’s 2nd birthday in July 2025 with a sweet Instagram tribute to her son.

“Happy Birthday to our sunshine, our sweetest boy, our heart, Luai! 💛 Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of our life. You light up every room (and keep us all on our toes 😅), and we are so proud to be your mama and daddy,” she wrote. “You are the deepest love we have ever known, the wildest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose. You have given our lives a whole new meaning, and we are grateful every single day.”

“Here is to another year of cuddles, giggles, and magic. Me and Daddy love you more than words can say. 🎈🧸💫,” Lindsay added.
