Kid Rock and RFK Jr.’s Shirtless Workout for U.S. Department of Health Sparks Mixed Reactions: ‘Sick’

News RoomBy News RoomFebruary 18, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has enlisted Kid Rock in hopes of promoting a healthier lifestyle — much to the amusement of social media fans.

In an Instagram video shared by both Kennedy, 72, and the musician, 55, on Tuesday, February 15, the shirtless duo can be seen implementing various aspects of a “Rock Out Work Out,” including hitting the gym and exercising inside a sauna, dining on home-cooked meals, recovering in a cold plunge, playing pickleball and drinking “whole milk” in a spa together.

The official U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) video ends with an appearance of campaign slogan text: “Make America Healthy Again.”

Kennedy, who was filmed wearing dark blue jeans as he completed his part in the workout — including when jumping into the pool and bath — captioned the post, “I’ve teamed up with @KidRock to deliver two simple messages to the American people: Get active and eat real food.”

The post attracted mixed reactions, including an X fan who shared the clip, writing, “However insane you think this video is, I urge you to watch it in its entirety. It’s so much more insane than you could imagine. RFK Jr. jumps into a pool with jeans on.”

Summer House star West Wilson was also flabbergasted, writing via X, “Exceed expectations.” A third person quipped, “We need to get younger people in office bro.”

While some were confused by RFK Jr.’s decision to wear jeans throughout the video, others questioned Kid Rock’s drink of choice. “Drinking milk while half naked in a hot tub. Wow. Just wow,” one X user said.

A second person wrote “Good idea. Yes, eat real food and exercise,”

Others were fans of the video, praising RFK Jr.’s message urging people to “eat food and exercise” to stay healthy. “Everyday I lift these weights and pound this pavement hoping I can be like that in my 70s,” another said, praising RFK Jr.’s physique.

According to the HHS website, the “Make America Healthy Again” campaign is striving to build “a healthy, stronger” America under Kennedy’s leadership. “HHS is taking bold, decisive action to reform America’s food, health, and scientific systems to identify the root causes of the chronic disease epidemic and Make America Healthy Again,” a description on the website reads.

For Kid Rock’s part, the “All Summer Long” hitmaker and vocal conservative has also demonstrated outspoken advocacy in recent times. On February 8, he appeared as one of Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show performers as part of the nonprofit organization’s mission to promote conservative politics across high school and student campuses.

Prior to that, the singer, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, honored Charlie Kirk, the late founder of Turning Point USA who was assassinated in September 2025 at the age of 31, at Arizona’s Hondo Rodeo Fest two months later.

At the time, Kid Rock was filling in for country singer Cody Johnson while he recovered from a ruptured eardrum when he paused during an acoustic version of Johnson’s track, “Til You Can’t.” Kid Rock said to the crowd, “A few weeks ago, I woke up alone early on a Sunday morning and had this song stuck in my head. In that moment, someone or something spoke to me and told me there was still a verse missing from this song, and to get up and write it down. So I did. And now, I know exactly who was speaking to me that morning.”

The speech was followed by an image of Kirk being flashed up on the stage screens behind Kid Rock.
