Kamala Harris’ ‘world-class pivot’ when asked about Biden’s ‘frailties’ floors journalist: ‘We all saw the debate’

News RoomBy News RoomOctober 31, 20251 ViewsNo Comments

Kamala Harris’ attempt to sidestep a question from an Australian reporter about former President Joe Biden’s mental decline fell flat, after the journalist called out the ex-vice president’s “world-class pivot.”

The former vice president, who has long been hesitant to criticize Biden in interviews, went on a minute-long rant about President Trump when asked if her former boss’ “refusal to recognize his own frailties” cost her the 2024 election, during an interview Wednesday with ABC TV’s “7:30” host Sarah Ferguson.

“I ran against Donald Trump for president, and Donald Trump ran on a platform that was, in large part, I believe, misrepresenting his intentions to the American people,” Harris’ incredible dodge began.

She went on to accuse Trump of lying to voters about his priorities and whined about the “massive amounts of mis- and disinformation” she heard on the campaign trail before Ferguson interrupted the failed Democratic nominee for president.

“Forgive me,” Ferguson jumped in, as Harris continued to talk. “I want to interrupt you because that is a world-class pivot, but it is not the question that I asked you, which is about Joe Biden’s failure to recognize his own frailties and what that did to you.”

“Are you still reluctant to criticize the former president?” the reporter asked.

Harris appeared taken aback by the Australian journalist’s persistence, and a testy exchange followed.

“In what regard, please? What exactly would you like to ask? Be more specific, if you don’t mind,” the ex-veep, sounding confused, asked Ferguson.

The reporter reiterated the question about Biden’s “frailties.”

“He was not frail as president of the United States,” Harris wildly claimed.

To which the reporter shot back: “But he had frailties. We all saw the debate.”

Harris maintained that Biden “had the capacity to be president” and that she “never doubted that he had the capacity to be president.”

She would only concede that she had “concerns” about the then-81-year-old president’s ability to handle the rigors of a presidential campaign.

“Is there a reason why you won’t go to that prolonged frailty question?” Ferguson pressed.

“I have answered that question,” Harris insisted. “I do not believe [Biden was frail].”
