Justin Thomas at peace with PGA Championship finish after stellar ‘pissed off’ round, painful wait

News RoomBy News RoomMay 17, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — The waiting was the hardest part.

“I did my part,’’ Justin Thomas said after shooting a 5-under-par 65 to post 5 under as the leader in the clubhouse in the PGA Championship Sunday at Aronimink Golf Club.

Thomas’ final round ended at 3:05 p.m., with the lead groups just having teed off the previous half hour or so.

On a day when it looked like no one was going to break from the pack of a clustered leaderboard, maybe it was going to be Thomas coming away with the third PGA Championship of his career.
