‘Journalist’ heckles Chuck Schumer during anti-corruption bureau event: ‘Show your genocidal face’

News RoomBy News RoomJuly 31, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

They had to chuck him out.

A self-described “journalist” interrupted and berated Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as he was touting his proposal to establish a new federal agency called the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Sam Husseini, an activist whose father was a Palestinian Christian, began shouting at Schumer (D-NY) about Israel, accusing him of supporting genocide.

“What can be more corrupt than backing genocide?” Husseini screeched. “This is part of the same con with you and Trump trading off with each other, ‘Oh, he’s worse, no he’s worse.’”

“You were put on notice in November of 2023 by the Center for Constitutional Rights and other legal and human rights organizations, notice on potential legal liability for aiding and abetting, inciting and conspiring to commit genocide.”

Husseini has a history of activist outbursts at public events that he has attended under the pretenses of being a journalist.

Last year, for example, he exploded at then-Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his press conference, and suggested that the country’s outgoing diplomat should be in the Hague as he was dragged out of the room.

“He’s not well,” a congressional staffer told The Post about Husseini, noting his history of harassing people at events.

“Thank you for your diatribe,” Schumer replied after Husseini’s screed. “Now, let’s continue …the people didn’t come to hear you.”

Eventually, staffers approached Husseini to escort him out of the room. But he didn’t let up.

“You should be questioned about your diabolical record. It’s amazing that you can show your genocidal face in public, Mr. senator,” he shouted. “Shame on Public Citizen for not allowing questions of this genocidal maniac.”

Schumer had teamed up with the Public Citizen Foundation to roll out his new anti-corruption legislation at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

The Senate Democrat honcho’s new bill would form the Anti-Corruption Bureau by merging the Office of Government Ethics, the Federal Election Commission and the Office of Special Counsel.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau would have sweeping subpoena and investigative power and be comprised of a seven-member board, no more than three of which can hail from the same political party.

His legislation would tighten anti-corruption rules for presidents, vice presidents, top administration officials, and their families.

Schumer’s office declined to comment on Husseini’s outburst when asked by The Post.
