Packers running back Josh Jacobs appeared serious while wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt in mugshot and booking photos after his arrest in Wisconsin on a slew of charges, including domestic abuse, on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old Jacobs was booked into the Brown County Jail on charges of battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim, according to press release from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department.
Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowler and entering his eighth NFL season, posed with his arms uncovered in other booking photos showing his tattoos.
Police responded to a disturbance Saturday morning involving Jacobs, and he was taken into custody Tuesday, according to the release.
No further details on the matter were shared.
Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public,” Jacobs’ attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in a statement on his behalf.
“We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”
The NFL said it is “aware of the report and has been in contact with the club.”
The Packers said in their own statement that the club is “aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment.”
Jacobs has two years and $25 million — none of which is guaranteed — on the four-year, $48 million contract he signed with Green Bay before the 2024 season.
He ran for 929 yards and scored 14 total touchdowns across 15 games last season.
The 24th overall pick by the Raiders in the 2019 NFL draft, Jacobs spent the first five seasons of his career with Green Bay.
