Jets catch brutal stray from Saints’ defensive star as he praises team’s outlook

News RoomBy News RoomFebruary 24, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

The Jets were catching strays when a TMZ cameraperson caught up with Saints defensive end Cam Jordan.

The Saints player was asked his opinion on whether his team can make a deep run in the playoffs next season.

As one would imagine, Jordan expressed optimism that the Saints would be able to do and have a “bright future” behind second-year quarterback Tyler Shough, but he snuck in a dig at the Jets toward the end of his response.

“I hope so. Isn’t that the goal?” Jordan told the outlet.  “Ain’t nobody going the whole offseason, thinking like, man, I hope we just win three games. I’ll leave that to the Jets.”

The Jets are coming off a 3-14 season that fell well short of what fans had been hoping for when Aaron Glenn took over as head coach last offseason.

Gang Green has not made the postseason since 2010 and has won 10 games during a season just once in the 15 seasons since then.

And the Jets haven’t been immune from others taking shots at them.

Former quarterback Aaron Rodgers has done so on occasion.

Just last month, he took a swipe at his time with the Jets while reflecting on his tenure in Pittsburgh.

“One of the things I love, and this is kinda the antithesis of where I was, there’s not really any leaks in the boat,” he told reporters. “Every year you have difficulties and adversity, both on the field and off the field and to go through a season like this and be able to focus on football and not have a lot of other little bulls–t out there has been really nice.”

The jabs directed at the Jets aren’t likely to end until the organization can finally return to the playoffs.

There will be plenty of pressure on Glenn to turn things around after a dismal first season and the front office has plenty of work ahead of itself.

The Jets will draft No. 2 overall in April, and they still need to decide what they plan to do with running back Breece Hall.

Hall will be a free agent in March if something isn’t worked out between the two sides, and he told The Post over the weekend that “now I’m just kind of like whatever happens, happens.”
