How Long Is Pink Stepping in for Kelly Clarkson? What to Know About Hosting Change

News RoomBy News RoomMarch 4, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

The Kelly Clarkson Show is looking a little different this week as pop star Pink fills in for the show’s regular host.

Pink, 46, was tapped to cover for Kelly Clarkson, 43, in what has been billed as a special week of episodes celebrating Women’s History Month in March.

The “Get the Party Started” singer will host from Monday, March 2, with guests including Darren Criss, Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, Chloe Kim and Allison Williams.

Scroll down for all the details on how long Pink will be stepping in for Clarkson.

How Long Will Pink Host The Kelly Clarkson Show?

Pink is set to host a week of episodes celebrating Women’s History Month from Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6, NBC announced in February.

What Have Pink and Kelly Clarkson Said About the Change?

“The only thing that bums me out about Pink hosting a week of The Kelly Clarkson Show is that I’m not going to be able to be there to watch her,” Clarkson joked in a press release last month. “I have been a fan for so long and have always been inspired by her music and her person. I love her!”

Pink, meanwhile, said, “I’ve played stadiums and danced on the side of buildings, but stepping in to guest host for my girl Kelly Clarkson is a brand new feat! Let’s celebrate women, joy, resilience and whatever else comes our way!”

Will Kelly Clarkson Return to Her Show?

NBC announced in February that the American Idol winner will return to season 7 of The Kelly Clarkson Show, which is expected to continue through the fall, but “a few special guest hosts will be announced” in a similar vein to Pink’s current stint.

Is Kelly Clarkson Leaving Her Daytime Talk Show?

Yes, Clarkson will bow out of daytime later this year.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York,” the singer said in a February statement to Us Weekly. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”

“Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she added. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

Clarkson assured fans that “this isn’t goodbye,” saying she will “still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time.”

“You never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years,” she said.
