Heroes, zeros and the full blitz from the Jets’ 17-12 win over the Browns on Sunday:

Hero

With Breece Hall sidelined again, Braelon Allen rushed for a career-best 116 yards and a touchdown. His 22-yard rush — on a third down in the fourth quarter when it looked like they would settle for a field goal — gave the Jets the lead for good. Allen, who has waited for his chance to deliver as a lead back, maximized his 24 carries.

Zero

This could go to the entire Browns special teams operation, but Rex Sunahara’s high snap to punter Corey Bojorquez with 4:01 left led to a botched punt and, eventually, the game-winning touchdown by Allen. Earlier in the game, Andre Szmyt missed a critical extra point, too.

Unsung hero

Darrell Jackson Jr.’s best performance of his rookie season was overshadowed by another rookie — David Bailey — dominating. But Jackson, the Jets’ fourth-round pick in April, recorded his first career sack late in the fourth quarter, deflected two passes and recorded four total tackles.

Key stat

8: Number of times the Jets defense sacked Deshaun Watson, matching their third-most in a game in franchise history — with 10 the record — and their best output since collecting eight in 2024 against the Texans.

Quote of the day

“We knew the weather was gonna be ugly. It was gonna be s–tty. Like, that’s the Jets. That’s the MetLife. That’s how it is. It rains up here. So we’re ready for it, right, and to get a win in it is big.”

— Jets receiver Garrett Wilson
