Heidi Klum’s bizarre statuesque Met Gala look mistaken for AI — ‘What is this?’

News RoomBy News RoomMay 4, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

She’s put her stamp on camp.

Á la mode of Lady Liberty, Heidi Klum, 52, stunned with statuesque swag at the 2026 Met Gala.

Becoming living art, the “Project Runway” paragon sent eyes widening in a pewter-colored, clinging piece, covered from head to toe in gossamer fabric with her face, hands and feet printed to match the grayish garb.

The veteran Victoria’s Secret model — oft-praised for her over-the-top love of costumery — rocked the outré look to meet The Met’s “Fashion is Art” dress code demands.

And, despite it being an oddity, glam-gluttons across social media are eating up the look.

“Heidi stays winning,” an awestruck Redditor cheered.

“You know what…GO HEAD GURL!,” raved another, whose applause was echoed by fashion fiends who rated the look a “100-out-of-10.”

“Heidi’s love of a theme,” an equally impressed onlooker chimed, “always makes me smile.”

“Immediately my fave — what the f- -k,” another fawned.

“What is this??? Everyone else looks like they’re headed to an elegant evening and she looks like the plaster cast of the Statue of Liberty,” gawked another.

Confused critics, however, openly questioned if the mystery diva in gray was actually Klum, or, a facsimile generated via artificial intelligence.

“Heidi Klum looking like AI in her outfit #MetGala,” a disenchanted detractor tweeted. “One of the worst outfits of the night.”

Looks from the night, lauded as fashion’s biggest night, didn’t disappoint.

From the fabulously fine to the freakishly chic, VIPs strived to stay on theme while making a splash at the star-studded bash.

The Met Gala precedes the grand premiere of the Costume Institute’s spring 2026 exhibition, “Costume Art,” at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The showcase, curated by Andrew Bolton, examines “the centrality of the dressed body, juxtaposing objects from across the museum’s vast collection with historical and contemporary garments from the Institute,” according to the Met.

The exhibition will run from May 10 to Jan. 10, 2027.
