Maggie Baugh has finally revealed her big announcement — and it involves new music.
Baugh, 25, announced via Instagram on Wednesday, October 8, that she would be releasing her album The Devil Win later that week.
“The Devil Win • 10.10,” Baugh, 25, captioned the post. “Pre-Save Link in my Bio❤️🔥.”
The big reveal came two days after she initially teased fans in a post shared on Monday, October 6.
“Announcement coming soon…” Baugh wrote via Instagram, along with a completely black image.
Baugh’s return to social media came after a clip from Keith Urban’s High and Alive Tour showed the singer, 57, changing a lyric in his song “The Fighter,” which was inspired by his estranged wife, Nicole Kidman. Urban appeared to swap out the line to make it about Baugh instead.
Urban originally sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.” Instead, he swapped it to, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” at a performance before the September 29 announcement he and Kidman, 58, were separating. Kidman filed for divorce on September 30 — one day after the pair’s split made headlines.
“Did he just say that 👀,” Baugh captioned a post of the moment shared on September 27. In the same clip, Urban appeared to point across the stage at Baugh during “The Fighter” as he sang, “I was born to love you.” He then changed a lyric to, “Maggie, I’ll be your fighter.”
Maggie’s father Chuck Baugh rose to her defense amid rumors she played a role in the end of Urban and Kidman’s marriage. TMZ reported that Chuck shared a TikTok video on Facebook that suggested his daughter might “allegedly [be] the person responsible for Keith’s divorce from Nicole Kidman.”
“NO. Just No,” the outlet reported Chuck wrote.
The rumors may have rattled Maggie, who missed Urban’s concert on Thursday, October 2.
Us confirmed Kidman and Urban’s separation on September 29. Kidman filed for divorce the following day, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Court documents reviewed by Us also revealed the filling came with a marital dissolution agreement signed by both herself and Urban, which included a parenting plan, a child support plan and a “parenting seminar order.” The pair are parents to Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 14.
Urban and Kidman were last seen together in June at a soccer game in Nashville, and many observers have noted the pair had not posted about one another on social media in months. The last time Urban shared a photo of Kidman was in May after he won the Triple Crown Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and Kidman noted the pair’s wedding anniversary in June.
