George Clooney has spoken about the tragic death of Presley Gerber.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 65-year-old actor and close friend of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber discussed the family’s grief following Presley’s death, telling the outlet, “I don’t think we’re even in the position of being able to talk about it.”
“It’s one of the most devastating things that’s happened to our family,” he said. “And their family is just … as you can imagine, it’s the worst thing that could ever happen to a family.”

Presley died Sept. 20 at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. He was 27.
He reportedly checked into the Resolutions Living facility on Sept. 19.
Clooney is a longtime friend of the Gerber family and co-founded Casamigos Tequila with Rande. He was reportedly referred to as “Uncle George” by the Gerber children.
In the days following Presley’s death, the actor and his wife, Amal Clooney, were spotted stepping out of their car as they arrived at Kaia Gerber’s home in Los Angeles.
According to sources who spoke with The Daily Mail at the time, Clooney was “close” with Presley, and communicated with him often.

“George would spend hours talking to Presley,” the source said. “George is the nicest guy in the world and would do anything to help Rande’s family.”
“Especially after Presley got a DUI (in 2018), George would advise, ‘Don’t do that, it’s not smart. Be careful.’ More recently, George shared loving notes like, ‘I am here for you,’ that kind of stuff.”
