‘Free Elizabeth Holmes’ Protestors Proclaim Her Innocence At Screening of Her New Documentary

News RoomBy News RoomOctober 6, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

Supporters of disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes attended a screening of her new documentary, You Can See Everything, to proclaim her innocence.

“Turns out, everything that Elizabeth Holmes said is true,” Holmes supporter Ryan Elhosseiny told Variety at a recent event for the film. “This is one of the most incredible technologies I’ve ever seen. This is airtight. Elizabeth Holmes is innocent and needs to be free.

Elhosseiny, the founder of a group called Just Blood, claims that he rebuilt Theranos’ failed blood testing technology using “exhibits” from her 2021 fraud trial and the now-shuttered company’s own patents. (He describes himself as a self-taught biochemist.)

Just Blood supporters attended a You Can See Everything screening at the New York Film Festival on Wednesday, September 30, with a “Free Elizabeth Holmes” car to hand out flyers and put up billboards in support of the imprisoned tech executive, per the publication. The group has also started a Change.org petition aimed at freeing Holmes from federal incarceration — it has been signed by 364 people as of publication.

“We are asking the appropriate federal authorities to look at this complete technical evidence and reconsider what it means for the convictions of Elizabeth Holmes,” Elhosseiny wrote in the petition.

Just Blood seeks to “exonerate Elizabeth Holmes” and “release her” from prison provided it can prove Theranos’ previously debunked blood-testing technology can work.

Elhosseiny appears to support codirectors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim‘s near-three-hour documentary You Can See Everything, though he has yet to see it.

“I’ve heard that it’s magnificent,” he added.

In the upcoming documentary, The Rehearsal‘s Fielder, 43, and Oppenheim, 30, are granted unprecedented access to Holmes, 42, and her husband Billy Evans in the weeks before she surrendered to federal custody on May 30, 2023.

Holmes has always maintained her innocence against criminal charges despite being convicted of four federal counts of fraud and conspiracy in 2022. The judge sentenced her to 11 years in federal prison. (Holmes’ business partner and one-time boyfriend, Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, was sentenced to nearly 13 years in federal prison and ordered to also pay a share of the $452 million in restitution to their victims.)

The fraud case revolved around Holmes allegedly misleading Theranos investors and the public about the capabilities of its finger-prick blood-testing technology, thereby putting patients at significant risk.

Holmes is currently serving her sentence at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas — where she allegedly made friends with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Jen Shah while the reality TV star served time for pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. (Shah, 53, was released from prison in December 2025.)

Jeffrey Epstein‘s former girlfriend and alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is also serving a 20-year prison sentence at FPC Bryan following her 2022 conviction on charges of sex trafficking of a minor, sex trafficking conspiracy and related counts. (Maxwell, 64, maintains her innocence and is pursuing an appeal.)

It was previously reported that Holmes’ sentence has been reduced. She is now scheduled to be transferred from the minimum-security prison to a halfway house in Dell Valle, Texas, in August 2027.

The convicted fraudster recently raised eyebrows with an ominous X post in which she obliquely referenced her child’s “health and safety.” (Holmes and Evans share two children, one son and one daughter.)

“I don’t get angry often. Tonight, I am,” Holmes wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “People put my child’s health and safety at risk. They knowingly and consciously chose this path.”

She added, “If protecting my child means burning bridges, I’ll burn them to light the way. Time to sleep. I’ll grab the match tomorrow.”

Several X users took issue with Holmes bringing up “health and safety” concerns given Theranos’ downfall.

“Erm. The company you founded and the lies you told also – I believe – put countless people’s health and safety at risk,” one person replied.
