Police handcuffed former Dallas Cowboys superstar Dez Bryant and pointed at least one large gun at him during a wild altercation outside of a restaurant in Texas on Sunday, shocking new video shows.

The incident occurred in Southlake just minutes after Bryant said in an interview with Outkick that he had gotten into a dispute with two young adults over their driving behavior.

Bryant told the outlet the two men cut him off while behind the wheel of their vehicles on a roadway just outside of the eatery, and when they all got to the establishment’s parking lot, he and one of the men quarreled over the situation.

“He get out of the car, he talking crazy,” Bryant said. “I get out of the car, I’m talking my mess. And he go to threatening me.”

Bryant said the man insinuated “he’ll shoot me or whatever.”

“I told him, I said, ‘Hey, man, you pull that gun, I’m telling you right now, you better use it because if you don’t, I’m going to do something to you,’” Bryant said, noting the man did not have a gun visible on his person.

The man then allegedly took out his phone to film Bryant, which bothered the three-time Pro Bowl receiver.

“I knocked the phone out of his hand,” Bryant said. “And first thing he said was, ‘I’m fitting to call the police.’ I said, ‘Call them. You’re threatening me, so it’s all good. I have the right to protect myself.’”

Multiple police officers then arrived on scene, drew their guns and handcuffed the involved parties, according to video obtained by Outkick.

Bryant could be seen in the footage laying on his stomach with his arms behind his back, screaming, “He threatened me.”

Bryant told Outkick the cops briefly investigated the matter, but sided with the two young men, with one of the officers imploring him to “be the bigger person.”

“I asked him, ‘How can I be the bigger person?’” Bryant said, noting the scene unfolded in front of his kids. “I told him I got every right to feel how I’m feeling.”

Bryant said he was ultimately issued a citation for assault, given a future court date and allowed to leave.

A request seeking comment from the Southlake Police Department by the California Post on Monday was not immediately returned.
