Jenna Johnson’s son, Rome, is loving his new look.
Johnson, 32, took to Instagram on Sunday, October 11, to show off Rome’s fresh trim after getting a haircut. In the first clip, Rome, 3, whom she shares with her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, glared into the camera while a barber combed through his hair, which was cut into a mullet with thick bangs.
To prep Rome’s hair, the hairstylist sprayed his mane with water, which he hilariously grimaced at. The Dancing With the Stars pro then cut the camera to show her little one’s transformation, which featured layered bangs, shaved sides and a trimmed back.
Rome was seemingly happy with his new ‘do and beamed for the camera. Johnson walked around her son to show a 360-degree view of his look, but he kept turning toward the camera while smiling at his mom.
“We’re all a little emotional over here 🥹😭🤧,” Johnson captioned the post.
Friends and followers laughed along with her in the comments section.
“He’s the best! I miss Rome!” Emma Slater wrote, while Jenna Dewan, Chmerkovskiy’s partner on this season of DWTS, added, “I cannot handle his cuteness!!!!”
One of Johnson’s followers added, “He’s got mama’s expressions 😂😂😂😂,” and another laughed, “So cute and he looks just like his mom!!”
Johnson and Chmerkovskiy welcomed Rome in January 2023. The dancers met during season 18 of DWTS in 2014 when Johnson joined the show at just 19 years old. They officially started dating in 2015, taking a brief break from their relationship the following year.
The duo confirmed that they were back together in 2018. One year later, Chmerkovskiy got down on one knee and popped the question to Johnson while vacationing in Venice, Italy. In April 2019, they tied the knot in California, celebrating their nuptials in Utah shortly after.
