Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough is in disbelief over wife Hayley Erbert’s latest pregnancy milestone.
“I can’t stop looking at this freakin cute bump happening ❤️❤️,” Hough, 40, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, August 21, adding a “Baby Hough” hashtag and tagging Erbert’s account.
In the clip, Erbert, 30, showed off her growing baby bump in a fitted Alo bodysuit while Bibi Gold’s “Wonderlicious Woman” played in the background.
Hough and Erbert’s DWTS costars were equally excited about the new arrival in the comments section.
“The best times of your life, brother,” Val Chmerkovskiy, who shares 2-year-old son Rome with wife Jenna Johnson, replied. “Enjoy ❤️.”
Johnson, 30, added, “OBSESSED 😍.”
Lindsay Arnold, Sasha Farber, Peta Murgatroyd, Kym Johnson-Herjavec and Emma Slater also shared their enthusiasm to meet the couple’s future baby.
“Yessss I love this bump 😢,” Slater, 36, commented.
Hough, meanwhile, followed up his post with another maternity pic of Erbert on his Instagram Stories.
“People, I can’t stop looking,” he captioned his second photo.
Erbert announced her pregnancy last month.
“We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small,” she and Hough captioned a joint Instagram video on July 22, in which the pair hugged while holding up ultrasound photos.
Hough and Erbert started dating in 2015 and got engaged seven years later.
“I think that word now feels right to the way I feel and to my commitment to her and to our love and story and life together. … Hayley is The One,” Hough exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2022. “I know she’s just going to be an amazing mother and amazing wife and she’s so thoughtful, so caring, so loving.”
He added, “Just seeing the way she is with our animals, I mean, if she’s even a quarter of the way she is with our animals how she is with our kids, I just can’t wait to see her be a mom.”
Hough and Erbert, who share a menagerie of pets, went on to tie the knot in August 2023. Several months later, Erbert suffered a near-fatal cranial hematoma and underwent an emergency craniectomy. Hough remained steadfast by Erbert’s side throughout her hospitalization and eventual recovery.
“Having him by my side, and our family and our friends [helped me get through it],” Erbert told Us in the couple’s November 2024 cover story. “I remember Derek said [to me], ‘Honey, there are so many people thinking about you. There’s so many people sending you love and prayers.’ And that was actually the first time that I started crying.”
She continued, “I remember just bawling my eyes out and saying, ‘You didn’t even have to tell me that. I can feel it.’ I felt this sense of overwhelming love and light; it was one of the most spiritual experiences I’ve ever had. It was beautiful, and I believe that’s really what carried me through.”
